We are seeking to appoint an energetic and enthusiastic person with excellent communication and IT skills to support our learners in the English and Maths department, this could be 1:1 or as group support in class.
The ideal candidate will be a dedicated individual who enjoys working with young people and who is keen to support students studying GCSE English and Maths to enable them to achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will be responsible for working closely with teaching and cross college support staff and co-ordinate the resources supplied to enable the students to access education fully as well as developing skills essential to life and independence.
The English and Maths staff work with students across all the faculties and, with a wide range of vulnerable and challenging students. Staff are passionate about providing the training and qualifications that local employers and communities need. It would be helpful but not essential (as training and support will be available) if you have previous experience or knowledge of working with students with special educational needs.
