For this Senior Technician role, we are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and practically-minded person who will support the welfare and development our animal collections alongside delivering an outstanding practical experience for our learners. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise and work alongside our team of technicians to meet all the welfare needs of our varied domestic, farm and exotic animal collections, deputising for the Deputy Head of Animal Collections in their absence; whilst also coordinating learner practical activities within the Animal Welfare and Science department.
The successful candidate must have a keen interest in working with animals in a college and visitor attraction setting and will be expected to complete the Level 3 teacher training qualification to support their delivery to learners in this role.

Status: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Sunday based on a 5-day week rota to include weekends and bank holidays, with flexibility to meet business needs
Salary: £23,554 per annum, which is point 20 on the Weymouth and Kingston Maurward College Salary Scales.
