Job title: Director of People & Culture
Status: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week
Salary: £62,860 - £74,709 (M18 – M26) per annum

Are you passionate about people and making a difference? Reaseheath College is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the role of Director of People & Culture.

This is a key position within the Executive leadership team, and you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the People strategy for the College and providing professional HR and organisational change expertise. Your leadership will be instrumental in helping to develop and sustain a high performing culture where students and staff flourish.

This is a particularly exciting time for the College as we launch our new strategic plan, building on the progress made to date and ensuring the College is the very best place to work and that people and their development is at the heart of all we do.

Key responsibilities:

• Championing, developing and overseeing the implementation of the People Strategy, a key part of the Strategic Plan
• Supporting the Principal and Executive team to set the culture of the College and drive continuous improvement.
• Leading organisational design and transformational change projects, enhancing the College’s delivery and support models
• Providing professional HR and organisational change expertise and support to Executive and Governors, identifying both risks and opportunities for the College.
• Acting as the Executive lead for all HR and Employment Law related matters and leading the HR & Payroll department.

What we're looking for:
• Recognised Level 7 qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
• Substantial breadth of experience at a leadership level in Human Resources within a large and complex organisation
• Experience of successfully developing and implementing People strategies
• Experience leading initiatives across a breadth of HR areas of responsibility
• Senior leadership experience of leading an organisation through a period of change and transformation
• Strong emotional intelligence and communication skills
• Strong coaching, mentoring and training skills
• Experience and knowledge of the Further Education sector is desirable.

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.
