Job title: Student Life Co-ordinator & Duty Manager
Status: Permanent, full time, 37 hours per week (including one evening shift)
Salary: £27,601 (A29) per annum plus on-site accommodation (3 bed house with all bills included)

Are you passionate about young people and changing lives? Reaseheath College is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the position of Student Life Co-ordinator and Duty Manager.

This is a key position involved in shaping, developing and driving our new enrichment/personal development programme, working closely with the Student Union to ensure a strong and active student voice.

This role is also part of the Safeguarding team for the college, which has about 700 residential leaners. The Duty Manager role works with two other duty managers, providing an out of hours on call/call out service for one week in three, for which onsite accommodation is provided.

Key responsibilities:

• Devise, plan and implement a calendar of engaging student responsive enrichment activities
• Ensure the Student Union are engaged and active
• Ensure the interaction with students is positive, inclusive and fosters good relations
• Research sponsorship, external funding opportunities and collaboration opportunities that maximise student involvement and help career ready development
• Actively promote the benefit of physical activity and health lifestyle choices to students and support them to make positive changes through engagement with enrichment
• Line manage the Enrichment/Student Services Officer team, including student workers
• Onsite lead for safeguarding and security when duty manager (full training provided)

What we're looking for:
• Minimum GCSE Maths and English Grade C/4 (or equivalent).
• Experience of working professionally with young people within an educational setting
• Excellent understanding of issues to do with diversity and social inclusion.
• Evidence of Health and Safety knowledge and understanding
• Excellent IT skills and high standard of digital literacy
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to build effective working relationships
• Good understanding of safeguarding young people

Please note this role constitutes ‘regulated activity’ as defined by the Protection of Freedom Act 2012. The successful candidate will therefore be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check with barred list information prior to starting employment. You must have the right to work in the UK and will be required to provide evidence to support this.
