Wiltshire College & University Centre have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering – Welding to join our team.

 

Location: Lackham, Wiltshire

Salary: £27,347 - £38,101 per annum plus a £3,000 specialist skills shortage bonus (dependant on skills, qualifications and experience) 

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (37 Hours Per week, 52 weeks)

Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering – Welding - Key Responsibilities:

 

Deliver captivating lectures, practical demonstrations, and workshops covering welding techniques, processes, and safety procedures.

 

Create and update curriculum materials to reflect industry standards and best practices.

 

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to enhance student learning and progress.

 

Lead practical training sessions in our welding labs, ensuring strict adherence to health and safety regulations.

 

Work with colleagues to design innovative teaching methods and assessments, boosting student engagement and achievement.

 

Contribute to the creation of new welding courses and initiatives to meet industry needs.

 

Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and professional development activities to continually improve and excel in teaching.

 

 

 

Lecturer in Agricultural Engineering – Welding – You:

 

 

Experience: Proven track record in Welding, with hands-on industry experience. Strong knowledge of welding processes and equipment, including MIG, TIG, ARC, and oxy-acetylene welding.

 

Qualifications: Level 3 NVQ in Welding or a related field. We welcome applications from both qualified Lecturers and subject professionals eager to transition into teaching.

 

Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for teaching and mentoring students.

 

Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire.
