VHL Lecturer in Land Based – The Role:
Are you passionate about Land Based, Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, Animal Management, Sports Turf or Equine studies? Wiltshire College & University Centre is seeking passionate Lecturers to join our team at Lackham Campus, nestled in the heart of picturesque Wiltshire.
Located on a stunning 500-acre campus in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside, Lackham provides an exceptional environment for both teaching and learning. Our campus is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including a large Animal Centre and an advanced Agri-tech centre, ensuring that our staff and students have access to the best resources available.
You be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, learning, and assessment to students across a range of Land Based courses. The ideal candidate will be passionate about their profession, possess extensive knowledge and practical experience in the field, and have a commitment to fostering student success.
VHL Lecturer in Land Based - Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective lectures, workshops, and practical sessions in Agriculture and related subjects.
Develop and update curriculum content to ensure it reflects current industry standards and practices.
Assess and evaluate student work, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
Mentor and support students, helping them to achieve their academic and career aspirations.
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive learning experience for students.
Engage with industry professionals and organisations to enhance the learning experience and provide students with networking opportunities. Participate in departmental meetings, professional development, and continuous improvement activities.
VHL Lecturer in Land Based – You:
We are looking for candidates who are not only experts in their field but also enthusiastic about teaching and mentoring. The ideal candidate will have:
A relevant degree or level 3 vocational qualification in their subject or a closely related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Commitment to continuous professional development.
